Kitchens
Its extraordinary resistance to chemicals such as concentrated acids and solvents, together with its resistance to heat, make KRION™ the ideal material for the most demanding kitchens.
With KRION™ we can create seamless sections, preventing liquids from being absorbed and making cleaning and maintenance easier.
Its anti-bacterial properties, certified by its compliance with the UNE-EN ISO 1186 standard, make it a food-grade material, ideal for use as a countertop and for any other element in direct contact with foodstuffs.
Bathrooms
The development of KRION™ is closely connected with bathrooms. The Porcelanosa Group has been creating bathroom equipment for years using this multi-purpose material.
Items such as baths, shower trays and shower enclosures, through to washbasins and bathroom units have been created with this material, which offers us guaranteed hygiene, preventing microorganisms from developing, at the same time as allowing us to create bold designs.
Hotels
Its extensive design possibilities allow us to create spaces from hotel lobbies through to room elements, including furnishings, decoration or bathroom fixtures.
KRION™ also offers a wide range of possibilities for spa areas thanks to its non-porous surface and anti-bacterial properties. Spas, swimming pools, saunas or Turkish baths are just some of the elements that can be created using this versatile material.
Healthcare
KRION™ is an ideal material for use in healthcare centres. Thanks to its anti-bacterial properties and additive-free composition, it is recommended for use in consulting rooms or wards, curing stations or even operating theatres, where optimum hygiene conditions are essential.
Also, by chemically welding sheets together and the possibility of creating curved sections, continuous surfaces can be made without seams or corners where microorganisms can accumulate.
Commercial areas
The design of commercial areas is essential in transmitting the image of a company and presenting each product in the best way possible.
KRION™ offers infinite possibilities to decorate commercial premises, with an extensive palette of 97 colours and the ability to connect sheets and curve them, to obtain combinations of colours and ergonomic shapes.
Restaurants
The comfort and warmth of KRION™ make it an ideal material for use inside restaurants and other hostelry establishments.
It is particularly suitable for use in restaurants as it is easy to clean and only requires minimum maintenance.
Its durability, the possibility of shaping it to obtain any type of design and its anti-bacterial qualities mean it can be used for practically any type of application.
Offices
Bright, clean and comfortable surroundings can be easily achieved by using KRION™ in working areas.
Spaces that reflect a dynamic working environment, and encourage efficiency and creativity.
Public Spaces
KRION™ is easily applicable in public spaces used by large numbers of people. It meets the maximum hygiene requirements for installation in public bathrooms and other public areas.
As a material that is non-porous and easy to clean and repair in situ, it is ideal for continuous use in public areas, and is highly resistant to acts of vandalism.
Ventilated Façades
Its proven resistance to adverse weather conditions, together with the development of advanced anchoring systems by Butech, make it possible for KRION™ to be used in the design of ventilated façades.
As it is unaltered by sudden temperature changes, high humidity levels or in areas with arid climates, it is an ideal covering material for any type of building.
Also, the fact that its sheets can be thermoformed into curved sections make it possible to create any type of design.
Wall Coverings
The Stone and Lux versions are the ideal solution for indoor wall coverings. Both are available in sheet lengths of up to 3.6 metres, in the 97 different colours that comprise the palette of KRION™ finishes.
The material can be applied to flat and curved walls thanks to the process of thermoforming, also achieving a seamless finish by eliminating joints between sections by chemically welding them together.
